2026 Hyundai Palisade: A Bold Makeover for Hyundai’s Flagship SUV

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade marks a significant evolution in Hyundai's lineup, introducing a host of upgrades that enhance performance, design, and comfort. With a refreshed exterior, advanced hybrid powertrain, and a suite of new features, the Palisade is set to redefine expectations for three-row SUVs.

Striking New Design

The 2026 Palisade showcases a more assertive and modern appearance. Its exterior features a more geometric silhouette, bold lighting elements, and a distinctive grille that aligns with Hyundai’s latest design language. The vehicle has grown slightly in size, offering a longer wheelbase and increased overall length, contributing to a more spacious interior and commanding road presence.

Enhanced Powertrain Options

The standard engine that comes with the Palisade is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder, delivering up to 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, replacing the previous 3.8-liter V6. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, provides a balance of power and efficiency for the driver. This engine provides a maximum 4000-lbs towing capacity

What’s more is that for the first time, the Palisade also introduces a hybrid powertrain to the mix. Combining the 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor to produce a combined 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. This setup not only enhances performance but also improves fuel efficiency, with an estimated range of over 1000-km or 619 miles on a full tank and battery charge. The hybrid powertrain provides a 5000-lbs towing capacity.

Smart Comfort

Step inside the 2026 Hyundai Palisade, and it’s immediately clear that this isn’t just a refresh, it’s a complete rethink of interior space and technology. Hyundai didn’t just focus on looks, either. The centre console is shaped to create more room for passengers while enhancing comfort and ergonomic stability.

Even small touches, like a wireless charging pad with a built-in cooling fan, show attention to real-world convenience. The charging pad delivers 15 watts of power for quick boosts to your phone battery, working seamlessly with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, both of which come standard.

Up front, a new curved panoramic display houses two 12.3-inch screens that provide easy access to vehicle info, navigation, and entertainment. For a more immersive experience, the available 14-speaker Bose® surround sound system brings rich, detailed audio to every seat. And with an optional digital rearview mirror that uses a wide-angle camera mounted on the liftgate, drivers can keep full visibility, even with the back loaded up with gear or passengers.

There’s Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind Spot Collision Warning, and even an Advanced Rear Occupant Alert system that reminds you to check the back seats, and can alert your phone if it detects movement after you’ve locked the car. You’ll also benefit from Hyundai’s latest SmartSense technologies like Safe Exit Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
